The dining atmosphere strikes a perfect balance between casual and inviting, with both indoor and outdoor seating options that lend themselves to relaxed meals with friends or family. The interior’s clean, tidy setting is complemented by friendly and attentive staff who enhance the overall experience. A standout feature is the free salsa bar, a treasure trove of house-made salsas that add an exciting, customizable kick to every dish—though occasional low stock is noted by patrons, the quality and variety of salsas remain a highlight.
While most guests rave about the flavorful food and warm service, some have mentioned portion sizes could be more generous, and there have been rare instances of chips arriving stale. However, the consistency in flavor—especially the beloved ranchero sauce—and the overall dedication to quality help Dos Coyotes maintain its status as a beloved local gem.
Whether you’re craving a hearty burrito smothered in rich sauce, fresh fish tacos bursting with tropical salsa, or simply a casual spot to enjoy vibrant TexMex fare with excellent hospitality, Dos Coyotes Border Cafe delivers a memorable taste of the Southwest right in Roseville. It’s a place that invites you not just to dine, but to savor every bite and every moment spent in its welcoming embrace.
Awesome little restaurant in the corner of plaza with both indoor and outdoor seating. There are lots of different kinds of foods to choose from. Price was pretty reasonable for burritos ($10-$15 range). Free salsa bar inside of the restaurant as well. Only thing I did not like about the burrito was that it was not very big, I left from here still feeling hungry, bigger portions would be better, otherwise no complaints!
I’ve been coming here for decades, but somehow never got around to writing a review. This is the best Tex-Mex food in the region. The menu has something for everyone in your party. Fabulous staff and cool environment. Love it!
I must begin by stating I have had many great experiences at Dos Coyotes. However, lately it hasn't been as great. Chips seem stale or burnt and the sauces were not the usual consistency. It also seemed like they don't put as much meat in their burritos. I used to really enjoy the salsa bar. Cool vibrant interior with strong New Mexico vibes. Worth a try.
When you walk in, you see the menus ahead of you and the cash registers to the left which is where we ordered our food. The staff was very friendly and helpful with our food order. Are food was delivered to our table very quickly and was very delicious. One of the salsas that I wanted at the self-serve station was out, but otherwise was a very good visit and I would go again.
Does coyotes is a great southwest Mexican place in the Sacramento area. I love anything smothered in their Ranchero sauce! There’s salsa bar is delicious and his self serve. They sell Coca-Cola products. Honestly, I’ve never had a bad thing here and I’ve had many menu items. Bathrooms are clean. restaurant is clean and tidy.
We were in the area for a conference and about 20 of us dropped in for lunch, the staff didn't know what hit them.. but they were helpful, attentive and fast with the food. Despite the chaos of us all sitting at a number of tables they made sure everyone got their food. The food was great too!
Great place and the great location. The food is good not fantastic but for a quick lunch it's a perfect place. Outdoor seating has a relaxed atmosphere and we really enjoyed sitting there. There are options under $10 but count on spending more like $15. They have a well-stocked salsa bar but chips cost extra. There are vegetarian options as well.
